Day by day itinerary

Arrival to Vienna Airport. Transfer to Murska Sobota.
Visit local farm and enjoy ham tasting which offers a glimpse into the tastes of traditional dry meat products as well as prekmurska gibanica (Prekmurian layer cake) and warm food from Prekmurje. Of course accompanied by regional wines.

Transfer to Maribor and sightseeing of second largest city in Slovenia, which offers many sights and attractions that can turn your visit to the city into an experience rich in culture and heritage and exceptional wine tradition. Welcome to the city of the oldest vine in the world.

Overnight in Maribor.

In the morning transfer to Ptuj and sightseeing. Ptuj is one of the oldest cities in Slovenia. Perched above the city the mighty Ptuj Castle offers splendid views far and wide and hosts the Ptuj Ormož Regional Museum, whose permanent exhibition will take you on a journey through the millennia of the city’s history. Famous for the Kurent, a traditional carnival figure.

Proceed the journey to the capital city of Ljubljana.

The cityscape, guarded by the prominent Ljubljana Castle, was shaped by the widely-celebrated architect Jože Plečnik. Whether you are a lover of culture and art or seek culinary delights, Ljubljana has something to offer that will not fail to impress. Have a walk along the Ljubljanica River, stop for a coffee and enjoy free time at Old town.

Overnight in Ljubljana.

Today visit the alpine region. First drive to Radovljica, the centre of Slovenian apiculture, a town boasting unique medieval buildings adorned with frescos, with some of the buildings dating as far back as the 14th century. Visit beekeeper and enjoy tasting of honey and honey products.

Next visit Bled. This Alpine lake with the only island in Slovenia has been a world-renowned paradise for centuries, impressing visitors with its natural beauty, wealth of legend, and special powers to restore well-being. Look out at the lake from a castle on a cliff and visit the island on a traditional “pletna” boat.

Overnight in Bled.

After breakfast drive to Karst region and visit Postojna cave. More than five kilometres of breathtaking underground halls and natural tunnels can be explored on foot – and a part also on the famous electric train. Postojna Cave is an adventure for the whole family – seeing multi-coloured dripstones and the unique human fish that found its home in the cave, is always an unforgettable, jaw-dropping experience.

Proceed to the seacoast. The romantic town of Piran on the peninsula is one of the most beautiful towns in Slovenia. Explore the town, walk the narrow cobblestone streets, enjoy the views from the Church of St. George and have free time to relax on your own.

Overnight in nearby seacost resort Portorož.

In the morning visit Sečovlje salt pans, a unique saltworks landscape where you can learn first-hand all about traditional salt production.

Proceed to Croatian Istria and visit Poreč, a city with a thousand-year history. The complex of the Euphrasian Basilica represents a significant global monument acknowledged by UNESCO.

Next sightseeing of Rovinj, the town that has begun its romantic life on an island, its restricted area resulting in crowded houses, narrow streets and small squares, still untouched by modern urbanism.

In the afternoon drive to Croatian town of Opatija and enjoy an evening walk at famous Lungomare promenade.

Overnight in Opatija.

After breakfast drive to Croatian capital Zagreb.

Upon arrival time for for sightseeing. Take a funicular ride to Upper town, take a walk down to Dolac market and Ban Jelacic square, visit the Cathedral.

After lunch long distance transfer to Graz in Austria. On the way stop at Trakoščan, a castle which is one of the few facilities in Croatia with preserved its own constitution, historically closely related to the architectural framework and the life of its owners.

Overnight in Graz.

Morning walking tour of Graz charming old town including lift ride to Schlossberg. Then drive to Vienna.

In the afternoon private sightseeing tour of Vienna. Visit Kartner Street, Stadtpark, St. Stephen’s Cathedral, Schoenbrunn palace gardens and palace. After that free time for shopping.

Overnight in Vienna.

Transfer to Vienna Airport and take return flight home.
