Day by day itinerary
Arrival to Zagreb airport in late afternoon or evening hours. Transfer to hotel for check in and freshen up.
Overnight at hotel in Zagreb.
In the morning we’ll enjoy guided walking tour of Zagreb, visiting highlights such as St. Mark’s Church with its famous roof, the Cathedral of Assumption of St. Mary, the Croatian National Theatre and the University.
We’ll take a ride with funicular to reach the fortified Upper Town – city’s historical centre. After lunch we proceed to Sarajevo, the Capital of Bosnia and Hercegovina. Upon arrival, check in at hotel, dinner and overnight.
Morning visit of Sarajevo city with experienced local guide, passing all must see places, such as Old district with Bascarsija street, National museum, the Latin Bridge and Tunnel Museum. A place steeped in history hides the traces of many reigns and cultures, and is also a paradise for meat-lovers. So we’ll try some Bosnian dishes including begova corba (chicken stew), veal dishes, filled peppers and cevapcici (minced meat). After lunch drive to Mostar, where we’ll be passing the Turkish house, the mosque and visit the World famous Old bridge (UNESCO). After sightseeing enjoy dinner at local restaurant. Overnight at hotel in Mostar.
After breakfast drive to Croatian most beautiful town Dubrovnik (UNESCO), also called the Pearl of the Adriatic. Upon arrival we’ll have lunch and afterwards enjoy a stroll through the Old town passing Francisan monastery with the Old pharmacy, Dominican monastery, Rector’s palace, medieval City walls etc. We’ll take a ride with the cable car to enjoy panoramic views of the city and surrounding islands. And keep your eyes open, as Dubrovnik is a popular holiday destination for numerous celebrities. Enjoy rest of the day free at your leisure.
Full day excursion to Montenegrin coast to visit two beautiful cities, Kotor and Budva. Upon arrival enjoy a guided tour of charming Kotor, an ancient Republic town. After lunch we’ll take a panoramic ride to Budva, the metropolis of Montenegrin tourism thanks to the great number of beaches and hotels that make this a most desirable tourist destination. Enjoy a guided tour followed by some free time. On our way back we’ll make a photo stop at St. Stefan island, which was once a fishing village and now transformed into a luxury hotel town. If time allows, we can stop in Perast and make a short boat cruise to the Our Lady of the Rocks, a unique island church set just in front of Perast. Arrival back to Dubrovnik in the evening hours. Dinner at hotel and overnight.
After breakfast departure for Split with enroute stop for lunch. Upon arrival to Split we’ll get to know one of the oldest cities in this part of Europe with its historic inner city, built around the Roman Emperor Diocletian’s Palace (UNESCO). We’ll stop at the Cathedral of St. Duje with Jupiter’s temple and check out the basement part of the palace, the Cellars. Rest of the day free at leisure. Dinner and overnight at hotel.
Morning ride to Plitvice lakes National Park (UNESCO). With its sixteen lakes that are connected with cascading waterfalls, surrounded by dense woods, Plitvice Lakes are a natural phenomenon of rare and unique beauty. We will take a ride in a boat to visit parts of the lakes that are not visible or accessible by walking. Rest of the day free for souvenir shopping or rest. Dinner and overnight at hotel.
After breakfast we drive towards Slovenia and its green Capital city Ljubljana. We’ll pass all the main monuments, such as the Triple bridge, the Cathedral, the University, take a walk along the Ljubljanica river and stop at the farmers’ open market. We’ll also take a ride with funicular and see how the cityscape is guarded by the prominent Ljubljana Castle. Afterwards we’ll proceed to Bled, the Slovenian Alpine pearl. Dinner and overnight at hotel.
This morning we’ll visit Bled, one of Slovenia’s most popular resort towns, famous for its alpine lake with an island in the middle. Experience traditional wooden pletna boat ride to Bled island and ring the Church bell for good luck. We’ll walk the banks of Bled lake, try the famous Bled cream cake and conclude our tour at Bled castle, standing on a high cliff above Bled lake and boasting with a stunning view of the lake and surroundings. After lunch transfer to the airport for your connecting flight back home.
